Midecamycin 400mg 16 tablets

Composition
active substance: Midecamycin;

1 film-coated tablet contains 400 mg of midekamycin;

excipients: potassium polacrilin, talc, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, acrylate copolymer, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide (E 171).

Antimicrobial agents for systemic use. Macrolides, lincosamides and streptogramins. Midekamycin. ATX code J01F A03.

Indication
Infections of the respiratory and genitourinary tract caused by mycoplasmas, legionella, chlamydia and Ureaplasma urealyticum; infections of the respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues and other infections caused by bacteria sensitive to midekamycin and penicillin, in patients with penicillin hypersensitivity; enteritis caused by bacteria Campylobacter spp.; treatment and prevention of diphtheria and whooping cough.

Method of application and dosage
The drug should be used before meals.

Adults and children weighing more than 30 kg: 1 tablet of 400 mg 3 times a day.

The maximum daily dose for adults is 1600 mg of midekamycin.

Children with a body weight of less than 30 kg: use a suspension for oral use. Treatment lasts from 7 to 14 days. Treatment of chlamydial infection should be continued for 14 days.
