Vitopril (lisinopril)

Vitopril contains the active ingredient lisinopril, ACE inhibitor.

Vitopril Indications

– Hypertension;

– Symptomatic heart failure;

– Short-term (6 weeks) treatment with combination therapy of acute myocardial infarction (during the first 24 hours) with stable hemodynamics;

– Diabetic nephropathy in patients with insulin-dependent diabetes and type II.

Contraindications

– If hypersensitivity to lisinopril or other ACE inhibitors, or one of the components of the preparation.

– Angioedema in history, including after the use of ACE inhibitors, idiopathic and hereditary angioedema.

– Primary hyperaldosteronism.

– After kidney transplantation.

– Cardiogenic shock.

– Hypovolemia.

– Acute myocardial infarction (systolic blood pressure below 90 mm Hg).

– Renal artery stenosis.

– Acute renal failure with increased pressure.

– Severe heart failure.

– Severe arterial or renovascular hypertension.

– During the period of lactation.

– During pregnancy.

– Children age.

Dosage & Administration

Vitopril is recommended 1 time per day, in the morning. The drug is used regardless of the meal. Wash down pill plenty of fluids.

Vitopril 2.5 and 5 mg broken up into two equal parts, and 20 mg Vitopril 10 broken up into four equal parts.

Hypertension

Vitopryl® can be used as monotherapy and in combination with other antihypertensive drugs.
