Vita (melatonin)

Vita contains the active ingredient melatonin, melatonin receptor agonist (hypnotic).

Vita Melatonin Indications

– prevention and treatment of disorders of “sleep-wake” circadian rhythm when you change time zones, manifested fatigue;

– sleep disorders, including insomnia, chronic functional origin, insomnia in the elderly (including with concomitant hypertension and hypercholesterolemia);

– to improve mental and physical performance, as well as the elimination of stress reactions and depression with a seasonal nature. Increased blood pressure and hypertension (I-II stage) in elderly patients (in the complex therapy).

Dosage & Administration

Vita-melatonin administered to adults at a dose of 3-6 mg (1-2 tablets) per day, for 30 min daily at bedtime, preferably at the same time.

The course of treatment is continued until the restoration of the physiological rhythm of “sleep-wake”, but no more than 1 month.

From prevention to the dose and duration of its use determined by the doctor depending on the individual characteristics of the patient and the disease. Typically prescribed 1-2 tablets a day, 30 minutes before bedtime, preferably at the same time, every day, for 2 months with a week break between courses (application rate – 1 month).

For the treatment of chronic sleep disorders (including those with concomitant hypertension and / or hypercholesterolemia) in elderly patients drug is prescribed at the lowest effective dose of 1.5 mg (½ tablet) 1 time a day, 30 minutes before bedtime. In case of insufficient effectiveness of the dose was increased to 3 mg. Abolition of the drug should be made gradually, reducing the dose for 1-2 weeks.

The same pattern of drug taking at an elevated blood pressure and hypertension in elderly patients. The drug can be used within 3-6 months at intervals of 1 week between month course of treatment.

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to the drug, autoimmune diseases, lymphoma, leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, epilepsy, diabetes, pregnancy and lactation, children’s age, combined treatment of MAO inhibitors, corticosteroids, cyclosporine.
