Valsacor Indications
Arterial hypertension (tablets 80 mg, 160 mg and 320 mg). Treatment of arterial hypertension in adults and children over 6 years of age. Post-infarction condition (tablets 40 mg, 80 mg and 160 mg). Treatment of clinically stable patients with symptomatic heart failure or asymptomatic left ventricular systolic dysfunction after a recent (12 hours – 10 days) myocardial infarction. Heart failure (tablets 40 mg, 80 mg and 160 mg). Treatment of symptomatic heart failure when ACE inhibitors (ACE) cannot be used, or as adjunctive therapy to ACE inhibitors when β-blockers cannot be used.
Dosage & Administration
The dose of valsartan selected individually according to tolerability and degree of the hypotensive effect.
When hypertension usually begin to receive a dose of 80 mg / day valsartan (daily dose taken once or divided into 2 admission). After 4 weeks after starting therapy (time to reach the maximum hypotensive effect) dose adjusted.
The maximum recommended for the treatment of hypertension dose of valsartan – 1 160mg every 24 hours or 80 mg 1 time in 12 hours.
Patients with impaired hepatic function (without bile stasis) and renal function (creatinine clearance more than 30 ml / min) dose adjustment is required.
In heart failure, usually beginning to receive a dose of 80 mg / day (dose is divided into 2 doses). Gradually, valsartan given tolerance, the dose increased to 160mg once in 12 1 hours.

Contraindications
Valsacor contraindicated in patients with individual hypersensitivity to valsartan and excipients of the drug.
Valsacor is contraindicated for patients with HD individual intolerance valsartan, hydrochlorothiazide, formulation auxiliaries (including lactose) and a group of drugs sulfonamides.
Contraindications to the use of the drug is pregnancy, lactation and age less than 18 years.
Preparations containing hydrochlorothiazide is contraindicated in those with severe liver disease, including those with cholestasis, and anuria, impaired renal function (when creatinine clearance below 30 ml / min), conditions requiring dialysis, kidney transplant, renal artery stenosis and conditions under renal function which depends on the activity of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.
Also Valsacor H and HD are not administered to patients with electrolyte imbalance, in particular the reduction of sodium and calcium levels in the blood plasma, refractory hypokalaemia and symptomatic hyperuricaemia.
