Sulfacil (sulfacetamide)

Sulfacil contains the active ingredient sulfacetamide, sulfonamide antibacterial (ophthalmic).

Sulfacil Indications

Infectious-inflammatory diseases of the eye caused by susceptible bacteria to the drug, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, purulent corneal ulcer, gonorrheal eye diseases in adults and children.

Prevention of neonatal conjunctivitis in the newborn.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug and sulfonamides in history.

Dosage & Administration

Adults use solution of sulfatsil 300 mg / ml 2-3 drops in the affected eye 5-6 times a day (every 4-5 hours).

Children use solution of sulfatsil 200 mg / ml 1-2 drops in the affected eye 4-5 times a day.

The course of treatment determined by the physician depending on the nature and severity of the disease. On average course of 7-10 days.

To prevent neonatal conjunctivitis in newborns each eye immediately after birth instill 2 drops of sulfatsil 300 mg / ml, and 2 drops of 2 hours.
