Rizatriptan 5mg 3 tablets

Composition:
active ingredient: rizatriptan; 1 tablet contains rizatriptan benzoate in terms of rizatriptan 5 mg; excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch; cellulose microcrystalline magnesium stearate.

Indications

Immediate treatment of headaches with migraine attacks with or without aura aura.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to rizatriptan or any excipient of the drug. Simultaneous treatment with inhibitors of monoamine oxidase (MAO) or acceptance within two weeks after cessation of therapy MAO inhibitors.

Severe hepatic or severe renal insufficiency. Transient cerebrovascular accident or transient ischemic attack.

Hypertension moderate or severe uncontrolled arterial hypertension or mild. Coronary artery disease, including ischemic heart disease (angina, myocardial infarction history, documented silent myocardial ischemia); symptoms of coronary heart disease; Prinzmetal angina. Peripheral vascular disease.

Concomitant use of ergotamine and its derivatives (including metyserhid) or other agonists 5-NT1V / 1D receptors.

Dosage & Administration

Rizamihren not be used for prevention.

Tablets should be swallowed whole with water.

Concomitant administration of food delayed absorption rizatriptan approximately 1 hour, by which delayed and therapeutic effect.

The recommended dose for adults is 10 mg. The interval between taking two doses must be at least two hours; 24 hours should not take more than 2 doses.

When headaches, repeated in the next 24 hours. If the headache returns after removal of the first migraine attack can be accepted repeated dose given higher doses.

If there is no response to treatment. If the patient does not respond to the first dose, do not take a second dose to eliminate the same migraine attack. Patients with missing response to treatment of an attack are likely to be subject to treatment following the attack.

Some patients should take less (5 mg) dose Rizamigren, including:

– Patients taking propranolol; reception rizatriptan should be postponed for at least 2 hours after taking propranolol;

– Patients with renal insufficiency or mild to moderate;

– Patients with liver failure mild or moderate.

Between the intake dose interval should be at least 2 hours, between 24 hours should not take more than two doses.

Patients aged 65 years. Safety and efficacy of ryzatryptanu in patients aged 65 years have not been systematically evaluated.
