Permethrin ointment 4% 40g

Composition:
active substance: permethrin; 1 g of ointment contains 40 mg of permethrin;
excipients: ethanol 96%, carbomer 980, triethanolamine, purified water.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:
A medicine that acts on ectoparasites, including scabies mites. ATX code P03A C04.

Indications:
Scabies.

Method of administration and dosage:
Doses
It is impossible to determine the exact dose for treatment due to the different surface area to which the drug is applied. While covering the entire surface of the body, the dose may be increased if applied to the face, ears and scalp.

Approximate dosage
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age
Apply 40 g of ointment (which corresponds to one tube). For some adults, more of the drug may be required to cover the entire body, but use no more than 80 g with each application.

Children 6-12 years old
Apply 20 g of ointment (corresponding to ½ tube).

Children aged 2 months to 5 years
Apply 10 g of ointment (corresponding to ¼ tube). The safety and efficacy of the drug in infants under 2 months of age has not been evaluated. No data available.

Mode of application
The medicinal product is intended for external use only and should not be taken internally. Apply a thin layer of ointment to clean, dry, cool skin. Do not apply directly after a hot bath. The ointment is completely absorbed into the skin, so keep applying more ointment if it is not visible on the skin.

The ointment should be applied to damaged skin, mucous membranes, or around the eyes. In case of accidental contact with the ointment on the indicated areas, rinse them with water, as described in the section “Peculiarities of use”. Gloves may be worn by those applying the ointment to avoid possible hand irritation.

Shelf life:
3 years.

Storage conditions:
Store in its original packaging out of the reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C. Store in tightly sealed containers.
