Ondansetron oral solution 4mg/5ml 50ml

Composition:
active ingredient: ondansetron (ondansetron); 5 ml of solution contains ondansetron hydrochloride dihydrate in terms of ondansetron 4 mg; excipients: citric acid monohydrate, sodium benzoate (E 211) sodium; sorbitol solution that does not crystallize (E 420) flavor additive “Strawberry”; purified water.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Antiemetics and anti-nausea drugs. Serotonin receptor antagonists (5HT3). ATX code A04A A01.

Indications:
Adults.
Treatment of nausea and vomiting caused by cytotoxic chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting. For the treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting, it is recommended to use ondansetron in the form of a solution for injection.
Children.
Treatment of nausea and vomiting induced by cytotoxic chemotherapy in children ≥6 months of age. There are no studies on the use of oral ondansetron in children over 1 month of age for the prevention or treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting, so ondansetron injectable solution is recommended in this case.
