Nasonex Sinus Indications

Treatment of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children aged 2 years. 

As auxiliary therapeutic agent in the treatment of acute episodes of sinusitis antibiotics in adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years.

Treatment of acute rhinosinusitis symptoms without signs of severe bacterial infections in adults and children aged 12 years.
The treatment of nasal polyps and associated symptoms, including nasal congestion and loss of sense of smell in patients aged 18 years.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the inactive ingredients.

The drug should not be used in the presence of untreated localized infection involving the mucous membranes of the nasal cavity.

Because corticosteroids have the effect of inhibiting wound healing, patients who recently did an operation in the nasal cavity or have had an injury, you can not use a nasal corticosteroid until healing will take place.

Dosage & Administration

Before using a new vial of the drug should carry out its calibration. Calibration is done by about 10 taps dispensing device with stereotyped established drug supply, where every touch is released about 100 mg suspension containing 50 mcg of mometasone (one dose).
