Micardis Plus 80mg 28 tablets

Micardis Plus Composition:
active ingredient: telmisartan;
1 tablet contains telmisartan 80 mg;
other ingredients: sodium hydroxide, povidone (E 1201), meglumine, sorbitol (E 420), magnesium stearate (E 470b).

Indications

Arterial hypertension.

As a combination of fixed MikardisPlyus dose prescribed to patients who have inadequately controlled blood pressure when used alone telmisartan.

Dosage & Administration

Adults
Patients whose blood pressure is not adequately regulated in one telmisartan, you should take Micardis Plus. individual titration of the dose of each of the components is recommended before switching to the fixed dose combination. In clinical expediency can be considered a direct transition from monotherapy to combination treatment with fixed doses.
Micardis Plus 40 mg / 12.5 mg may be administered to patients in the event of insufficient control of blood pressure when applying Mikardis tablets 40 mg.
Micardis lyus 80 mg / 12.5 mg may be administered to patients in the event of insufficient control of blood pressure when applying Micardis tablets 80 mg.

Elderly patients. There is no need to dose adjustment.

Contradictions

– hypersensitivity to any active agent or any of the excipients of the formulation;
– hypersensitivity to other substances – sulfonamide derivatives (hydrochlorothiazide as the drug is derived sulphonamide);
– II and III trimester of pregnancy;
– cholestatic and biliary obstructive disorders;
– hepatic failure, severe;
– severe renal dysfunction (creatinine clearance <30 mL / min);
– refractory hypokalaemia, hypercalcaemia.
