Loprax Cefixime 400mg 6 tablets

Loprax Composition:
active ingredient: cefixime;
1 tablet contains cefixime trihydrate in an amount corresponding to 400 mg cefixime;
other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, calcium hydrogen phosphate, pregelatinized starch, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), propylene glycol, purified water.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Antimicrobial agents for systemic use. Other beta-lactam antibiotics. Third generation cephalosporins. Ceffix. Code ATX J01D D08.

Indications:
Infections caused by susceptible microorganisms: acute and chronic bronchitis; acute pneumonia; inflammation of the middle ear; pharyngitis, tonsillitis and sinusitis of bacterial etiology; uncomplicated bacterial infections of the genitourinary system.

Dosage and administration:
The usual dose of cefixime for adults and children over 12 years of age is 400 mg/day. Take once or 200 mg 2 times a day with an interval of 12 hours.

Elderly people: use the usual adult doses. Dose adjustment is necessary for persons suffering from renal insufficiency.

Persons suffering from renal insufficiency:
Patients with a creatinine clearance of 60 ml / min and above are prescribed the usual doses and regimens. Patients with creatinine clearance between 21 and 60 ml/min can be given 75% of the usual dose at the standard dosing interval. Patients with creatinine clearance less than 20 ml / min are prescribed 50% of the usual dose with a standard dosing interval.
The course of treatment ranges from 3 (treatment of uncomplicated cystitis) to 10-14 days.
