Loсoid lipocream (hydrocortisone) 0.1% 30g
Dosage form: Cream. Basic physical and chemical properties: white cream.
Pharmacological group: Corticosteroids for dermatological use. ATX code D07A B02.
Composition: active ingredient: hydrocortisone 17-butyrate;
1 g of cream contains 1 mg of hydrocortisone 17-butyrate; excipients: cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol cetostearyl ether, mineral light oil, soft white paraffin, propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), butyl parahydroxybenzoate, citric acid, sodium citrate, purified water.
Indications:
Superficial uninfected dermatoses are treated with corticosteroids (eczema, allergic and contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis, psoriasis). Continuation of treatment or maintenance therapy for dermatoses for which strong corticosteroids have been used in the past.
Contraindications:
Skin lesions (wounds) caused by bacterial infections (eg pyoderma, syphilitic or tuberculous lesions), viral infections (eg chickenpox, herpes simplex, herpes zoster, common wart, flat wart, genital warts, molluscum contagiosum) infections caused by fungi ; parasitic infections (eg scabies) ulcerative skin lesions; adverse reactions caused by GCS (for example, perioral dermatitis, striae) ichthyosis, juvenile plantar dermatosis, acne vulgaris, rosacea, fragility of skin vessels, skin atrophy; allergic reactions of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or corticosteroids (the latter rarely occur) skin neoplasms.
Method of administration:
Apply Loсoid lipocream in a small amount to the skin 1-3 times a day. When the condition improves, as a rule, it is enough to use the drug once a day or 2-3 times a week. The total course dose should not exceed 30-60 g per week. To improve penetration, apply Locoid cream with a uniform thin layer on the affected skin with massaging movements. In the case of weeping skin lesions, it is sometimes not advisable to apply the cream under an occlusive dressing. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor.
