Levolet (levofloxacin)

Levolet contains the active ingredient levofloxacin, fluoroquinolone antibiotic.

Levolet INDICATIONS

infectious and inflammatory diseases mild and / or moderate in severity, caused by a wide range of sensitive to levofloxacin microorganisms:

– lower respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis),

– upper respiratory tract (acute sinusitis),

– complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infection (pyelonephritis),

– skin and soft tissue infections (atheroma, abscess, boil),

– septicemia / bacteremia,

– intra-abdominal infections, prostatitis.

APPLICATION

The medicament is taken orally with or without food 1-2 times a day. Tablets are swallowed without chewing, drinking plenty of fluids (at least 200 ml of water).

The dose and duration of application depend on nosology, the severity and course of the disease; treatment is usually not more than 14 days (for the treatment of prostatitis – up to 28 days). It is recommended to continue treatment for 2-3 days after normalization of body temperature or microbiological tests confirm the absence of the pathogen.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other quinolones, epilepsy, a history of adverse reactions on the part of the musculoskeletal system when using fluoroquinolones, during pregnancy and lactation, age 18 years.
