Indometacin Indications

– An additional tool in treatment of acute and chronic rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, gouty arthritis

– Localized forms of rheumatism pozasuhlobnoho musculoskeletal system: tendonitis, synovitis, tenosynovitis, inflammation of the fascia and joint ligaments, bursitis

– Local symptomatic treatment of inflammation, pain and swelling in post-traumatic lesions of the musculoskeletal system – sprains, dislocations, bruises

 Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active or any of the excipients of the drug. Hypersensitivity to aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) with clinical manifestations of asthma, urticaria, or allergic rhinitis.

Dosage & Administration

How to use: topically on the skin.

Ointment applied to the affected area 3-4 times a day, gently rubbing into the skin to its complete resorption. Number of ointment necessary for one application, depends on the area and the destruction of about 4-5 cm. Apply at least 6-hour interval.

It is recommended to use local forms of indomethacin in treatment with tablets.

Duration of treatment – 7-10 days. If during this period no effect on symptoms, treatment should be reconsidered.

Children

Use in children under 14 years.
