Hydrocortisone eye ointment 5mg/g 3g

Composition:
active substance: hydrocortisone; 1 g of ointment contains hydrocortisone acetate 5 mg;
Excipients: methylparaben (E 218), white soft paraffin.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Means used in ophthalmology. Anti-inflammatory drugs. Corticosteroids, simple. ATC code S01B A02.

Indications:
Allergic conjunctivitis; acute and chronic iritis, iridocyclitis, uveitis, chorioretinitis; sympathetic ophthalmia, postoperative irritation; restoration of corneal transparency after keratitis, (chemical) burns; inhibition of neovascularization.

Dosage and administration:Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, apply a strip of ointment about 1 cm long to the conjunctival sac several times a day. Usually the duration of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks. The exact duration of treatment is determined by the doctor based on a comparison of data on the effectiveness of treatment, possible side effects and the clinical picture of the disease.

When applying eye ointment should avoid contact of the tip of the tube with the eye or skin.

Shelf life:
2 years. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the package. Use no more than 4 weeks after opening the tube.
