Hydrocortisone eye ointment 1-2.5% 2.5g

Composition:
active ingredient: hydrocortisone acetate; 1 g of ointment contains 10mg or 25mg of hydrocortisone acetate.
excipients: white soft paraffin, mineral oil, lanolin.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Remedy used in ophthalmology. Anti-inflammatory drugs. Corticosteroids. ATX code S01B A02.

Indications:
Hormonal treatment of allergic, non-infectious, inflammatory diseases of the conjunctiva, cornea and anterior segment of the eye, as well as the eyelids (for example, blepharitis).

Dosage and administration:
A strip of ointment about 1 cm long is placed in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye or applied to the affected eyelid 2-3 times a day. After achieving the desired effect, 1-2 applications per day are sufficient. Usually the duration of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks. Depending on the clinical picture, the effectiveness of treatment, intraocular pressure and the condition of the cornea should be periodically monitored in order to determine the advisability of extending or changing therapy.

When applying eye ointment, contact of the tube tip with the eye or skin should be avoided. Contact lenses should be removed before applying the drug and not worn during the course of treatment.

Shelf life:
3 years. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the package. Use no more than 4 weeks after opening the tube.
