Heparin ointment 25g

Composition:
active ingredients: sodium heparin, benzocaine; 1 g of ointment contains sodium heparin 100 IU, benzocaine 40 mg; excipients: white soft paraffin, sunflower oil, corn oil, benzyl nicotinate, glycerin, T-2 emulsifier, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), purified water.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Means used for varicose veins. Heparin, combinations. ATX code C05B A53.

Indications:
Prevention and treatment of thrombophlebitis of superficial veins, post-injection and post-infusion phlebitis, trophic leg ulcers, elephantiasis, superficial periphlebitis, lymphangitis; external hemorrhoids, inflammation of hemorrhoids after childbirth; superficial mastitis; localized infiltrates and edema, injuries and bruises without violating the integrity of the skin (including muscle tissue, tendons, joints).

Dosage and administration:
The drug is used topically for adults. With thrombophlebitis of the superficial veins of the extremities, apply the ointment to the affected area with a thin layer (at the rate of 0.5-1 g (2-4 cm of ointment) per area with a diameter of 3-5 cm) and gently rub into the skin 2-3 times a day for 3 – 7 days until the inflammation disappears. The possibility of a long course of treatment is determined by the doctor. In case of thrombosis of the hemorrhoidal veins, apply the ointment on a tissue napkin, which is applied directly to the hemorrhoids and fix with a bandage (it is possible to use a swab with an ointment applied to it, which should be injected into the anus) 2-3 times a day until the signs of inflammation disappear, on average 3-14 days. The possibility of long-term use is determined by the doctor individually.
