Floxium (levofloxacin)

Floxium contains the active ingredient levofloxacin, fluoroquinolone antibiotic.

FLOXIUM INDICATIONS

infections caused by susceptible microorganisms to levofloxacin:

– lower respiratory tract infections (chronic bronchitis in acute, community-acquired pneumonia),

– acute sinusitis,

– complicated urinary tract infections,

– including pyelonephritis,

– skin and soft tissue infections.

APPLICATION

Floxium is taken 1-2 times a day. The dose depends on the type and severity of the infection and the sensitivity of the pathogen.

The duration of treatment depends on the disease, and should not exceed 14 days. It is recommended to continue treatment for at least the 48-72 hours after normalization of body temperature or confirmed by microbiological studies of eradication of pathogens.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones, as well as to the drug, epilepsy, tendon damage after prior use of quinolones, age 18 years, during pregnancy and lactation.
