Ferinject Composition:
active substance: 1 ml of solution contains 180 mg of carboxymaltose iron, which is equivalent to 50 mg of iron; excipients: sodium hydroxide and concentrated hydrochloric acid (for pH adjustment), water for injections.
Indications:
Ferinject is used for iron-deficiency conditions in patients who cannot be prescribed oral iron preparations or in case of their ineffectiveness. The diagnosis must be confirmed by laboratory tests.
