Epadol (omega-3 acid ethyl esters)

Epadol contains the active ingredient omega-3 acid ethyl esters, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (lipid-lowering).

Epadol Neo Indications

For primary prevention of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease;
in the complex treatment of atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, hypertension;
for secondary prevention of myocardial infarction in addition to standard treatments (eg, statins, antiplatelet drugs, β-blockers adrenergic receptors, ACE inhibitors);
with hypertriglyceridemia in addition to dietary therapy, if the latter is not sufficiently effective.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Exacerbation of chronic cholecystitis and chronic pancreatitis, exacerbation of diseases of the hepatobiliary system, cholelithiasis, pathological conditions accompanied by hemorrhagic syndrome.

Dosage & Administration

The drug is taken with food. In order to prevent adults and children over 12 years: 1 capsule per day. By individual indications dose can be increased to 2 capsules a day.

In the treatment of cardiovascular disease – 2 capsules a day.

When hypertriglyceridemia initial dose of 2 capsules per day (1 or 2 divided doses). In case of an insufficient effect dose was increased to 4 capsules per day. Treatment should continue until the desired therapeutic effect.
