Diclofenac 100mg 10 rectal supp.

Composition:

active substance: diclofenac;

1 suppository contains diclofenac sodium (in terms of 100% substance) 100 mg;

excipient: solid fat.

Indications

Inflammatory and degenerative forms of rheumatism: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, extra-articular rheumatism, pain syndromes from the spine; rheumatic diseases of extra-articular soft tissues (for example, periarthritis, tendinitis, tendovaginitis, bursitis, etc.); acute attack of gout; post-traumatic and postoperative pain syndromes accompanied by inflammation and swelling, in particular, after dental and orthopedic operations. Diclofenac suppositories in gynecology are prescribed for diseases accompanied by severe pain, inflammatory processes (for example, adnexitis, primary dysmenorrhea).

Contraindications

· Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any excipients

· Bleeding or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract in history related to previous NSAIDs therapy

· Active form of peptic ulcer / bleeding or recurrent peptic ulcer / bleeding history (two or more distinct episodes of established ulceration or bleeding)

· The last trimester of pregnancy

· Inflammatory bowel disease (eg Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis)

· Liver failure

· Renal failure

· Congestive heart failure (NYXA II-IV)

· Treatment of postoperative pain after coronary-artery bypass grafting (or using artificial blood circulation)

· Proctitis

· Coronary heart disease in patients with angina, myocardial infarction

· Cerebrovascular disease in patients who have had a stroke or transient ischemic attack episodes

· Peripheral arterial disease

· Diclofenac sodium, like other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs NSAIDs is contraindicated in patients who, in response to receiving aspirin or other NSAIDs having attacks of asthma, urticaria, angioedema or acute rhinitis

Dosage & Administration

It should use the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time, given the goal of treatment for each individual patient.

Do not take internally only for rectal administration.

Suppositories to enter into the rectum as deeply as possible, preferably after cleansing the intestines.
