Dexapos (dexamethasone)

Dexapos contains the active ingredient dexamethasone, corticosteroid (ophthalmic).

Dexapos Indications

Treatment of severe eye inflammation noninfectious genesis, such as severe allergic eye disease, severe inflammation of the conjunctiva, cornea and anterior segment of the eye, and inflammation in the postoperative period.

Contraindications

– hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients of the drug;

– viral, bacterial or fungal infection of the eye;

– injury or ulceration of the cornea;

– glaucoma;

– immunosuppressive conditions.

 Dosage & Administration

The drug is intended for ophthalmic use.

The drug is instilled into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 1 drop 3-5 times a day. In accordance with the prescription in case of severe acute conditions especially at the beginning of drug treatment Deksapos can instill more.

Usually the treatment period should not exceed 2 weeks. If after the first 2 days of treatment there is no improvement, should review the feasibility of further therapy.
