Coffeine (caffeine + sodium benzoate)

Coffeine contains the active ingredient caffeine + sodium benzoate, CNS stimulant (xanthine).

Coffeine & Sodium Benzoate Indications

Infections and other diseases involving inhibition of the central nervous system and cardiovascular system (acute heart failure), respiratory depression, asphyxia, poisoning, drugs and other toxins that suppress the central nervous system, asthenic syndrome, cerebral spasms.

Dosage & Administration

Adults drug administered subcutaneously 1 ml of 10 – 20% solution (100 – 200 mg).
The highest single dose – 0.4 g higher daily dose – 1 g
Children older than 12 years (depending on age) – 0.25 – 1 ml of 10% solution (25 – 100 mg).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to xanthine derivatives.

Irritability, insomnia, expressed high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, organic diseases of the cardiovascular system, including myocardial infarction, paroxysmal tachycardia, hypertension, glaucoma.

Pregnancy and lactation.

Advanced age over 60 years. Children age 12 and under.
