Ciloxan contains the active ingredient ciprofloxacin, fluoroquinolone antibiotic ear/eye drops.
Ciloxan Indications
Corneal ulcers and superficial infections of the eye (the eye) and its appendages caused by strains of bacteria sensitive to ciprofloxacin.
Acute otitis external ear, but also keen otitis media with drainage tube through tympanostomichnu caused by strains of bacteria sensitive to ciprofloxacin.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other quinolones or to any of the ingredients.

Corneal Ulcers
Ciloxan can be used with intervals including night:
1st day – 2 drops into the conjunctival sac of an affected eye every 15 minutes during the first 6 hours, then – 2 drops every 30 minutes during the first day;
2-day instilled 2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye every hour;
from the 3rd to the 14th day instilled 2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye (eyes) every 4 hours.
When corneal ulcer treatment can last more than 14 days; scheme dosage and duration of treatment determined by the physician.
Bacterial infection of the surface of the eye and its appendages
The standard dose is 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 4 times a day.
In severe infections, the dose may be 1-2 drops every 2 hours during the first two days during daytime.
Typically, treatment lasts 7-14 days.
After instillation is recommended tight closure of the eyelids or nososlozova occlusion. This reduces the systemic absorption of drugs introduced in the eye, which reduces the likelihood of systemic side effects.
