Brufen Indications

Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis and other non-rheumatoid (seronegative) arthropathies.

Not rheumatic joints and periarticular lesions such as humeroscapular periarthritis (capsulitis), bursitis, tendonitis, tendosynovit and pain in the lower back; soft tissue injury, such as stretching and voltage connection.

For moderate pain relief and of medium, such as the pain of dysmenorrhea, toothache and postoperative pain and for symptomatic relief of headaches, including migraines.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Asthma, urticaria, angioedema or rhinitis after taking ibuprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs.

Gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation due to the use of NSAIDs in history.

Peptic ulcer with increased risk of bleeding (acute or transferred before ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, recurrent ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding (2 or more episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding)).

Diseases accompanied by an increased risk of bleeding.

Severe cardiac, hepatic and renal failure 

Dosage & Administration

For oral administration.

Before use, the contents of one sachet should be dissolved in a glass of water. Preferably take during or after a meal.

Temporary burning sensation may appear in the mouth or throat when using Brufenu®; make sure the drug is dissolved in enough water.

Side effects can be reduced if we use the minimum effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary to control symptoms (see. Section “” Peculiarities of Application “).

Adults

Brufenu® recommended dose is 1200-1800 mg per day, it is used for 2-3 hours. Some patients may be sufficient 600-1200 mg per day. The total daily dose should not exceed 2400 mg.

Elderly patients

There is an increased risk of serious consequences of adverse reactions when using the drug in elderly patients. If you need to use NSAIDs should be administered the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time.

You should regularly monitor the presence of the patient’s gastrointestinal bleeding during treatment with NSAIDs. Individual dose should be selected in case of dysfunction of the liver or kidneys.
