Bromhexine 8mg 25 tablets

Composition
active substance: bromhexine hydrochloride;

1 film-coated tablet contains bromhexine hydrochloride 8 mg;

auxiliary substances: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, gelatin, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, sucrose, calcium carbonate, light magnesium carbonate, talc, polyethylene glycol 6000, povidone K 25, glucose solution, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide (E 171), dye quinoline yellow (E 104).

Pharmacotherapeutic group
Medications used in cough and catarrhal diseases. Mucolytic agents. ATX code R05C B02.

Indication
Secretolytic therapy for acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases accompanied by impaired sputum formation and promotion.

Method of application and dosage
Coated tablets should be taken after a meal and washed down with a large amount of liquid (for example, a glass of water).

Recommended doses of Bromhexine 8 Berlin-Chemi:

Adults and children over 14 years of age: 1–2 film-coated tablets 3 times a day (equivalent to 24–48 mg/day of bromhexine hydrochloride).

Children aged 6 to 14 years, as well as patients weighing less than 50 kg: 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day (equivalent to 24 mg/day of bromhexine hydrochloride).

Other special groups of patients: Bromhexine 8 Berlin-Chemi should be used with special caution (that is, with longer intervals or in smaller doses) in the presence of impaired renal function or severe liver diseases (see the section “Particulars of use”).

The duration of treatment is determined individually, depending on the indications and dynamics of the disease. Bromhexine 8 Berlin-Chemi should not be used for longer than 4-5 days without a doctor’s recommendation.
