Betahistin (betahistine)

Betahistin contains the active ingredient betahistine, histamine analogue (anti-vertigo).

Betahistinum Ratiopharm Indications

Meniere’s disease and syndrome, characterized by three main symptoms:

– Dizziness, sometimes accompanied by nausea and vomiting;

– Tinnitus;

– Hearing loss (tuhovuhist).

Symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo of different origin.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.

Pheochromocytoma.

Dosage & Administration

Use internally. Take during or after meals, drinking plenty of fluids.

The daily dose for adults is 24-48 mg, evenly divided 2-3 receptions.

Betahistine-ratiopharm 8 mg: 1-2 tablet 3 times a day (morning, lunch and evening).

Betahistine-ratiopharm 16 mg: the ½-1 tablet 3 times a day (morning, lunch and evening).

Betahistine-ratiopharm 24 mg: 1 tablet 2 times a day (morning and evening).

The dose should be individualized depending on the effect. Reducing symptoms sometimes observed only after 2-3 weeks of treatment.
