Has a toxic effect on all types of lice (death of lice occurs after 2-5 hours, ticks – after 7-32 minutes). Apply 10-15 g of cream at a time. When treating scabies, before using the drug, patients should take a hot shower with soap to remove scales and crusts, wash off the soap thoroughly and dry with a towel. First, apply the cream to the palms, hands, then to all other parts of the body, sequentially from top to bottom (the cream should not be applied to the face and mucous membranes). Lastly, apply the cream to the legs, feet and in the interdigital spaces. In places with delicate skin (groin, genitals, breasts), as well as eczema, dermatitis, you should carefully apply the cream, do not rub. When treating head lice, apply the drug to the hair and scalp, rubbing lightly into the skin; Tie your head with a scarf.

After 30 minutes, rinse the preparation with running water and rinse the hair with a warm 5% vinegar solution. After completing the described procedure, wash your hair with soap or shampoo and comb with a fine comb to remove nits. With pubic lice, rub the cream into the skin of the pubis, abdomen, inguinal folds and inner thighs. The effectiveness of the treatment is determined in a day and, if necessary, repeat the procedure.
After handling, hands should not be washed for 3 hours. In some cases, after the applied cream has dried (usually after 1 hour), it is recommended to apply a second layer of the preparation. After finishing the treatment, patients should wear clean underwear, clothes, and change the bed. After 24–48 hours, patients take a shower and change their linen and bedding again.
Apply the cream to the skin 4 times within 2 weeks at intervals of 3-4 days. The course of treatment consumes an average of 60–90 g of cream.
When treating scabies in children aged 3 to 5 years, Benzyl benzoate cream must be diluted with warm boiled water (30–35 ° C) in a 1: 1 ratio immediately before use and mixed until a homogeneous emulsion is formed. Treatment, as a rule, should be carried out without a preliminary warm bath 2 times with an interval of 12 hours.
When treating Norwegian scabies: before using benzyl benzoate cream, you must first clean the skin from crusts with the help of keratolytic agents. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the dynamics of cleansing the skin, stopping the inflammatory process, and stopping itching.
