Beclometasone aerosol for inhalation

Composition:
active ingredient: beclometasone; 1 inhalation dose contains 100 micrograms of beclomethasone dipropionate; excipients: ethanol, norflurane (HFA-134a). The drug does not contain freons.

Dosage form:
Aerosol for inhalation. Basic physical and chemical properties: aerosol for inhalation in a pressurized aluminum container. No external damage, corrosion or leakage.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Anti-asthma drugs for inhalation use. Glucocorticoids. ATX code R03B A01.

Indications:
Preventive treatment of mild, moderate and severe chronic asthma.

Dosage and administration:
The drug is prescribed only for oral inhalation. For optimal results, Beclazon-Eco should be used regularly. The initial dose should correspond to the severity of the disease. A low dose should be established at which effective asthma control is achieved. If the improvement after the use of a short bronchodilator becomes less effective or more inhalations than usual are required, it is necessary to reconsider the treatment. For patients who find it difficult to synchronize breathing with the use of an inhaler, it is recommended to additionally use a spacer – a device to facilitate the inhalation of inhaled drugs.

Children may also be advised to use a special baby spacer to help inhale inhaled medications. Adults and children over 12 years of age: The initial dose is 100 to 500 micrograms per day (maximum daily dose is 1000 micrograms), depending on the severity of the patient’s asthma. The maintenance dose is usually 200-400 mcg evenly distributed throughout the day. If necessary, you can use higher doses up to 1000 mcg during the day. Children 7-12 years: The initial dose is 100 micrograms twice daily (maximum daily dose is 200 micrograms), depending on the severity of the patient’s asthma. If asthma symptoms remain satisfactory, the dose can be gradually reduced to the lowest effective dose that provides effective asthma control. The therapeutic effect is observed after treatment for several days and reaches a maximum after 2-3 weeks. When transferring a patient from other inhalation drugs to Beclazon-Eco, it is necessary to leave the same dose of beclomethasone dipropionate, which in the future, if necessary, is selected individually.
