Agapurin SR 400mg 20 tablets

Agapurin Composition:
active substance: pentoxifylline;
1 tablet contains 400 mg of pentoxifylline;
Excipients: core: hypromellose, povidone 40, talc, magnesium stearate; shell: white dye Sepifilm 752 (hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol (macrogol) stearate, titanium dioxide (E 171)), dimethicone, macrogol 6000.

Indications

Prolongation of painless gait in patients with chronic occlusive lesions of the peripheral arteries in stage IIb according to Fontaine (intermittent claudication), when other measures such as gait training, angioplasty and / or restorative procedures can not be performed or not shown. Dysfunction of the inner ear caused by circulatory disorders (including hearing loss and sudden hearing loss).

Hypersensitivity to pentoxifylline, other methylxanthine derivatives or to any of the ingredients of the drug.

Acute myocardial infarction.

Stroke or other clinically significant bleeding.

Ulcers of the stomach and / or intestines.

Hemorrhagic diathesis.

Hemorrhage in the retina.

If the pentoxifylline treatment is bleeding in the retina, the use of drug should be immediately discontinued.

Dosage & Administration

Dosage of 400 mg / 600mg SR Ahapurin is established by physician in view of the individual patient.

Tablets prolonged action should be swallowed whole (not liquid), drinking plenty of water. Treatment duration should install doctor depending on the clinical condition of individual patients.

Chronic occlusive peripheral arterial disease in stage IIb by Fontaine (intermittent claudication).

If not used for other dosage 1 tablet prolonged drug AhapurynT SR 400 mg 3 times daily / 600 mg 2 times daily (1200 mg pentoxifylline per day).

For patients with low or unstable blood pressure level required dose adjustment.

Dosage for patients with impaired renal function (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml / min) should be selected, taking into account individual tolerance.

For patients with severe hepatic dysfunction dose reduction is required. The decision to reduce the dose taken by the doctor, which in each case must take into account the severity of the disease and tolerability.
