Ketonal INDICATIONS

Joint diseases: rheumatoid arthritis; serologically negative spondylitis (ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis); gout, pseudogout; osteoarthritis; extra-articular rheumatism (tendonitis, bursitis, capsulitis of the shoulder joint).

Pain: lumbago, post-traumatic pain in the joints and muscles; post-operative pain; the pain of metastatic tumors in the bone; algomenorrhea.

APPLICATION

Ketonal suppositories are used rectally.

The recommended dose – 1 suppository is administered into the rectum 1-2 times per day.

Ketonal suppositories may be combined with Ketonala oral forms, for example, one capsule (50 mg) in the morning and in the afternoon and 1 suppository (100 mg) in the evening or Ketonala Forte 1 tablet (100 mg) in the morning and 1 suppository (100 mg) in the evening.

When combined assigning different drug dosage forms (capsules, tablets, suppositories, rr injection) total daily dose should not exceed 200 mg.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

hypersensitivity to ketoprofen or to the other drug components, salicylates, and other NSAIDs;

severe heart failure;

treatment of postoperative pain during coronary artery bypass surgery;

chronic dyspepsia;

active peptic ulcer or gastric ulceration / perforation;

gastrointestinal, or other cerebrovascular bleeding, patients are prone to hemorrhage;

severe liver or kidney disease;

ssthma, rhinitis;

III trimester of pregnancy and lactation;

children up to age 15 years.
