Dimexid Indications
Dosage form: cutaneous solution. A colorless liquid or colorless crystals. Hygroscopic.
– prescribed in the complex treatment of inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system: rheumatoid arthritis, Bechterew disease, deforming osteoarthritis;
– at arthropathy, stretching the tendons in the killing, traumatic infiltrates, acute and chronic osteomyelitis, streptoderma, festering wounds, abscesses.
It is also used in dermatology and plastic surgery, for preserving skin homotransplantativ.
Dosage & Administration
Used mainly in the form of aqueous solutions (30-50%) for tampons, compresses.
In diffuse streptoderma recommended packs of 40-90% solution dimexide.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug. Cardiovascular failure, marked atherosclerosis, angina, renal failure or liver, stroke, heart attack, coma, glaucoma, and cataracts. Pregnancy and lactation.
