Dorsamed (dorzolamide)

Dorsamed contains the active ingredient dorzolamide, carbonic anhydrase inhibitor (antiglaucoma).

Dorsamed Indications

– elevated intraocular pressure.
– open-angle glaucoma.
– pseudoexfoliative glaucoma and other secondary open-angle glaucoma.

Dosage & Administration

1 ml of solution contains 32 drops, which corresponds to 20 mg of dorzolamide.
In monotherapy: administered 1 drop in the affected eye 3 times a day.
In combination with a β-adrenergic blocker for local applications: prescribed 1 drop in the affected eye 2 times per day.
If the treatment is applied, several local ophthalmic drugs, administration of drugs must be carried out every 10 min, If switching from treatment with other ophthalmic drugs to the treatment Dorsomedial, the drug is canceled after the regular daily dosing and the next day starts the treatment with DARZAMAT.

Contradictions

– Severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <30 ml/min).
– Giperhloremiceski acidosis.
– Hypersensitivity to dorzolamide and other components of the drug.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding.
The children’s age.
