Taufon (taurine)

Taufon contains the active ingredient taurine, amino acid metabolic/ophthalmic agent.

Taufon Darnitsa Indications

Injuries and degeneration of the cornea.

Degenerative lesions of the retina, including hereditary tapetoretinalnoy degeneration. Cataracts (age, diabetic, traumatic, radiation).

Open-angle glaucoma (in combination with timolol).

Dosage & Adminsitrations

The drug is prescribed for adults. Immediately prior to use it is desirable to hold the vial in the palm to warm it to body temperature. Bury 2-3 drops 2-4 times a day in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye by lightly pressing the bottom of the vial.

The course of treatment for injuries – 1 month, cataract – 3 months (repeated with an interval of 1 month).
For the treatment of patients with tapetoretinalnoy degeneration and other retinal degenerative diseases, penetrating wounds of cornea preparation is administered under the conjunctiva: 0.3 ml of a 4% solution 1 once a day for 10 days. The course is repeated in 6-8 months.

At open-angle glaucoma instilled 2-3 drops into the conjunctival sac of each 2 times a day for 20-30 minutes before the application of timolol. The course of treatment is determined individually.

Contradictions

Increased sensitivity to taurine.
