Orzid (ceftazidime)

Orzid contains the active ingredient ceftazidime, third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic.

ORZID Indications

The treatment of the following infections in adults and children, including newborns:

– In-hospital pneumonia;

– Respiratory tract infections in patients with cystic fibrosis;

– Bacterial meningitis;

– Chronic otitis media;

– Malignant otitis externa;

– Complicated urinary tract infections;

– Complicated infections of the skin and soft tissues;

– Complicated abdominal infections;

– Infections of bones and joints;

– Peritonitis related to the dialysis patients who are on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to ceftazidime or any other drug.

Hypersensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics.

A history of severe hypersensitivity (eg, anaphylactic reaction) to other beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins, carbapenems and Monobactam).
