Xantinol (xantinol nicotinate)

Xantinol contains the active ingredient xantinol nicotinate, peripheral vasodilator (nicotinic acid derivative).

XANTINOLI NICOTINAS Indications

atherosclerosis of the lower extremities (intermittent claudication), Raynaud’s disease, diabetic angiopathy, retinopathy, angionevropatiya, thrombophlebitis, thrombosis and embolism, blood vessels, migraine, atherosclerotic cerebrovascular accident, postoperative period after removal of a brain tumor, Meniere’s disease, poorly healing sores lower limbs, retinal vascular disease, degeneration, retinal detachment.

Dosage & Administration

Inside, at the beginning of treatment prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day after meals. If necessary, increase the dose to 2-3 tablets 3 times a day. Tablets are swallowed without chewing. With the improvement of the dose is reduced to 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.

The course of treatment is usually two months. In acute disorders of cerebral and peripheral circulatory preferably injectable form of the drug. The maximum daily dose is 1,800 mg.

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to the drug, as well as theophylline and nicotinic acid; chronic heart failure IIB-III stage, the acute phase of myocardial infarction, acute renal failure, stenosis of the left atrioventricular orifice, acute hemorrhage, pregnancy and lactation, peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer in acute glaucoma, child age.
