Nikomex (ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate)

Nikomex contains the active ingredient ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate, antioxidant / antihypoxant (mexidol).

Nikomex Indications

– Acute cerebrovascular accident;
– Encephalopathy;
– Neurocirculatory dystonia;
– Light cognitive impairment atherosclerotic origin;
– Anxiety disorders when i neurosis neurotic conditions;
– Relief of withdrawal symptoms in alcoholism prevalence of neurosis  and acute intoxication antipsychotics;
– Acute purulent inflammation of the abdominal cavity (acute necrotizing pancreatitis, peritonitis) in the complex therapy.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency.

Dosage & Administration

Nikomex ia administered intramuscularly or intravenously. Doses picked individually. With the introduction of the drug infusion method be diluted in physiological sodium chloride solution (200 ml). Begin treatment of adults with doses of 50
100 mg 1-3 times a day, gradually increasing the dose to obtain a therapeutic effect. Nikomeks jet injected slowly over 5-7 minutes, drip – at a speed of 40-60 drops per 1 minute. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 800 mg.
