Kombinil (ciprofloxacin + dexamethasone)

Kombinil contains the active ingredient ciprofloxacin + dexamethasone, fluoroquinolone antibiotic + corticosteroid eye/ear drops.

Kombinil Duo Indications

– Hypersensitivity to dexamethasone, ciprofloxacin and other fluoroquinolones or to any other component of the drug;

– Viral keratitis;

– Herpes infection (keratitis tree, Herpes simplex);

– Purulent infection of the mucous membrane of the eye and eyelids;

– Tuberculous lesions of eyes, ears,

– Smallpox, chickenpox or other viral lesions of the conjunctiva and cornea;

– Viral lesions ears;

– Fungal lesions of the eye;

– Pregnancy;

– Lactation;

– Children age.

Dosage & Administration

The drug is used in the form of instillations in adults.

In ophthalmology: 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of one or both eyes every 6 hours. After 1-2 days of use, if necessary, the dose may be increased to 1-2 drops every 2 hours. Upon reaching the therapeutic effect of the dose and frequency of application is reduced. The course of treatment is usually 7 days.

In otorhinolaryngology: 4 drops in a sore ear twice a day. The daily dose – 8 drops in each ear canal, which accounts for 8 mg of dexamethasone and 24 mg of ciprofloxacin. The course of treatment is usually 7 days.
