Tobrex (tobramycin)

Tobrex contains the active ingredient tobramycin, aminoglycoside antibiotic eye drops.

Tobrex Indications

Superficial bacterial infections of the eye such as conjunctivitis caused by susceptible or sensitive to tobramycin suspended microorganisms.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the ingredients.

Dosage & Administration

1 drop in the conjunctival sacof affected eye (eyes), 2 times a day (morning and evening) for 7 ± 1 days. In acute diseases instilled 4 times during the day on the first day.

Followed instilled 1 drop in each eye two times a day until the end of the treatment period, which is 7 ± 1 days.

 To prevent contamination of the dropper tip and solution, care must be taken not to touch the eyelids, surrounding areas or other surfaces of bottle-dropper tip. Keep the bottle should be tightly closed after use.

After careful instillation recommended closing the eyelids. This reduces the systemic absorption of drugs introduced in the eye, which reduces the likelihood of systemic side effects.
